Units of die sets.

The unit consists of set of plates and guide elements. The position of the plates of the die against each other is determined by centering elements, which are also guide elements of future die.

The die can consist of two plates, top plate and bottom plate, or of three, where to top plate and bottom plate is added the backing plate, which is called remover. The overall dimensions of plates are from 121x121 up to 596x596 mm. The top plate of the die is used for fastening of the punch as well as for fixing of all the movable part of the die on the movable part of the press. The bottom plate is used for fastening die block as well as for fixing of all the stationary part of the die on the table of the press.

The remover or remover plate pushes the parts from die block after doing operation.

According to purpose of the die the plates can have 2 (on request 3) or 4 holes. There are three variants of disposing of 2 holes in the die. The variant A – two holes are located along one end face of the plate. The variant C – two holes are located on the horizontal axis of symmetry of the plate. The variant D – two holes are located on a diagonal relative to the horizontal axis of symmetry of the plate. For 4 holes there are one standard variant of disposing of holes – Q.  The holes are located symmetrically relative to the horizontal axis of the plate.

Centering of plates against each other is made by means of guide elements, pins and bushings. The pins are delivered of two types: the smooth pins and the pins with shoulder. The smooth pins are pressed in the bottom plate, the pins with shoulder are pressed in the bottom plate and are fixed additionally through clamps to the shoulder. The bushings are pressed in the top plate, the holes of bushings have grooves to ensure the availability of lubricant in the friction zone of pin and bushing.

The overall dimensions of plates are similar to the dimensions of normalized plates for press mould.
